Instructor for a collaborative arts enrichment program between MarinMOCA and Novato Unified School District.

Creator of and instructor for an ongoing painting and mixed media workshop series for children ages 5 - 10. Topics of
exploration include basic color theory, composition, and creative self expression.

and composition. Classroom sessions are informed by visits to MarinMOCA’s galleries and studios.

sessions, booking models and facilitating dialogue around the work.

2014 History of 20th Century (Modern) Art and Design
Instructor for a graduate level seminar which explores information regarding the artistic character of the post-modern and
the anti-aesthetic. Student presentations, projects, and readings focus on Modern and Contemporary artists and movements.
2003 -- 2015 Drawing and Anatomy
Instructor for an introductory anatomy for artists course. Student’s focus on rendering life forms in space, emphasizing basic
anatomical structures of human and animal forms.
2005 -- 2015 Life Drawing and Gesture
Instructor for a continued introductory course. The course focuses on an interpretation of the human body, based on major
masses organized by gestural line. Emphasis is on line of action, gesture, motion, measurement, and foreshortening.
2002 -- 2009 Painting
Instructor for beginning painting class. Students employ elements of design in painting with an emphasis on developing a
personal style through concept, creativity and interpretation. Mediums include watercolor, gouache, and acrylic.
2002 -- 2012 Articulation Coordinator
Developer of articulation agreements with both secondary and post- secondary institutions. Duties include: reviewing curricula,
evaluating student work, and initiating and maintaining relationships with schools from the surrounding area. Also with an
additional focus on high school art and regional occupational programs with the goal of fostering youths’ interest in art related

Reviewer of student portfolios. Duties include: developing and maintaining artistic and academic standards in the life drawing
courses, and awarding prizes to graduating students for excellence in life drawing.

Instructor for an intense studio drawing course focusing on breaking down forms for animation. Students learn to draw the
gesture and movements of humans and animals.
2002 Figure Drawing Workshop
Instructor for figure drawing workshop for potential students as part of the Institute’s “Open House” series. The focus and
accompanying exercises are created and carried out by the instructor.

students’ progress by engaging with them on a one on one basis, teaching the class in professor’s absence, giving slide lectures,
