Teacher of a foundations art class for grades 9 - 12. Students explore a variety of materials and art processes in their work. The Elements of Art and Principles of Design guide each assignment as students learn to express themselves through visual art.
2024 -- present Drawing and Painting San Marin High School
Teacher of a drawing and painting art class for grades 9 - 12. Students use the foundations of drawing and painting to explore a variety of mediums, techniques and creative self-expression. Artistic voice, critique and portfolio development are emphasized.
2021--2024 Exploratory Art, San Jose Middle School
Teacher of an introductory visual arts studio class for grades 6, 7, & 8. Students explore a wide variety of materials while covering basic drawing skills and learning about artists and art movements.

Instructor of an introductory anatomy for artists course. Student’s focus on rendering life forms in space, emphasizing basic
anatomical structures of human and animal forms.

Instructor of a continued introductory course. The course focuses on an interpretation of the human body, based on major
masses organized by gestural line. Emphasis is on line of action, gesture, motion, measurement, and foreshortening.

Instructor of a beginning painting class. Students employ elements of design in painting with an emphasis on developing a
personal style through concept, creativity and interpretation. Mediums include watercolor, gouache, and acrylic.
2002 -- 2012 Articulation Coordinator
Developer of articulation agreements with both secondary and post- secondary institutions. Duties include: reviewing curricula,
evaluating student work, and initiating and maintaining relationships with schools from the surrounding area. Also with an
additional focus on high school art and regional occupational programs with the goal of fostering youths’ interest in art related
careers.

Reviewer of student portfolios. Duties include: developing and maintaining artistic and academic standards in the life drawing
